Lloyd’s of London was formed
In the Lloyd’s Coffee House, owned by Edward Lloyd in 1686 on Tower Street in the City of London. This establishment was a popular place for sailors, merchants, and ship-owners where Lloyd catered to them with reliable shipping news. Today there are 76 syndicates managed by 50 managing agencies that collectively write £35.5bn of gross premiums on risks placed by 350 brokers.

Justine Baker, Social Media, Marketing & Events specialist with extensive experience of working alongside industry giants to both define and re-invent key brands at a global level. Busy focusing on the entire client solutions package, Justine has also been busy delivering and arranging bespoke Well Being seminars and Events for all of our clients, to ensure that they do their utmost to retain, cherish and protect their workforce.

Tech-nically speaking
With a 15 year friend and business relationship, it was just a matter of time before Colin Burton parachuted into deliver technical services to our existing client portfolio, whilst also introducing 1686’s business ethos into additional variants of the Private, Public and Not for Profit sectors. A niche client led delivery model based on providing industry trained specialists into their sector of choice.

Full house
Shhh, A N Other will be joining on the 1st December, specialising in the delivery of our HR, Admin & Finance based consultancy offering. This means that our client base will now have the full suite of consultancy services at their disposal, thereby guaranteeing the consistent level of service to which they have become accustomed.
