Core responsibilities will include:-
- To produce clear and accurate documents and wordings for clients which provide the best possible cover in the market and adhere to all regulatory requirements.
- Use appropriate class of business knowledge to produce contract documents and documents suited to the client’s needs.
- Check and recommend amendments to policies/contract documents produced by others prior to agreement by Underwriters.
- Check final contract documents against slip or proposal details to ensure appropriateness of the proposed standard policy.
- Create original and complex contract documents and maintain database of contract documents and policy information.
- Provide expert advice on contract documents within specified classes of business.
- Resolve Underwriter’s queries in a timely manner.
- Maintain up-to-date and orderly files.
- Utilise in-house, Lloyd’s and Company market systems including Brokasure, CLASS, LORS and the in house system.
- Support Technical Account Processing in resolving accounting queries.
- Provide and gather information to and from Underwriters, Brokers, Technical Colleagues and Business Producers as required.
- Manage and undertake assigned project work to time scales as directed.
Client Service:
- Provide pro-active service to expedite the production of policies, liaising between all parties and actively chasing information.
- Deal with all client queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Escalate any potential problems to brokers and account executives.
Essentials:
- ‘A’ level (or equivalent) passes plus 5 GCSE passes (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
- A desire to progress within (Re)Insurance and a track record of working towards professional qualifications.
- Organised and reliable.
- Collaborative team working approach.
- Ability to work with employees at all organisational levels.
- Accurate and attentive to detail.
- Good written and verbal skills.
- Minimum 3 years technical reinsurance experience
Desirables:
- Proficiency in MS Outlook (email).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- A desire to coach and line manages less experienced colleagues
