Market leading Lloyd's Insurance broker is seeking an experienced Business Developer / Client Relationship Manager

Position Overview:

Our Client is seeking an outgoing person to join it’s esteemed insurance brokerage firm, specializing in financial institutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining existing client relationships, generating new business, and ensuring superior customer service within the financial sector, based in one of its Offshore office in Jersey, Channel Islands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Acquisition and Retention: Identify, target, and acquire new clients in the financial institutions sector. Develop strategies to retain and grow existing client accounts.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to understand client needs and industry trends. 
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, underwriters, and other stakeholders. Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts.
  • Willingness to learn about the products they provide and how these can benefit existing and potential clients.
  • Travel to Guernsey on an ad-hoc to maintain existing client relationships and generate new business.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all activities comply with industry regulations and internal policies. Assist clients in identifying and managing potential risks.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriting, claims, and support staff, to deliver seamless service to clients.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry developments, attend relevant conferences, and pursue continuous professional development to enhance expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:  Minimum of 3 years of experience in an insurance brokerage or financial services role, with a focus on financial institutions.
  • Skills:
    • Strong negotiation and sales abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
